I got out of my reading slump thanks to many books. Taylor Jenkins Reid introduces an interesting two sides of a coin in a book called “Maybe in another life”. The main character had to choose between going back home with her best friend or going with her ex-boyfriend to his place. And in this book, we witness both sides of the story as to how her choices cast the consequences throughout her life.

Next, I read “Things we never got over” by Lucy Score which is about Naomi, a runaway bride, and who tries to help her twin sister out of a financial situation. She bumps into a man who thinks that she is Tina, her twin sister, and scolds her until he figures out that she is not Tina. He helps her out after Tina has stolen her car and her money back at the motel. She is also left with her niece to take care of after Tina had dumped her daughter onto her sister. Naomi gets accommodation and a job from him and earns her way up to his heart.

“Wait for it” by Mariana Zapata is also a very interesting Romantic novel that tells us about Diana who takes care of her two nephews because her brother passed away. Diana helps out a neighbor who gets surrounded by three guys who wanted to beat him up until she stopped them. His brother, Dallas, grateful for her help, is also the baseball coach for her nephew. They develop a relationship in time and become a great couple.

Then “A risk on Forever” by N.S.Perkins is a story about Abby who loses her job and finds a job in which she becomes a caregiver to Helen, who insisted that only Abby took care of her. Meanwhile, Mathias, Helen’s son, who strongly rejected Abby as a caregiver and insulted her skills falls in love with Abby. After Helen’s death, they both find each other through Helen’s letters that she left for them.

A very interesting novel, “To Hate Adam Connor” by Ella Maise, is about Lucy who breaks up with her boyfriend and had to move out with her friend Olive, a writer and wife of an actor called Jason. Next door is a celebrity called Adam Connor. And, she kind of becomes obsessed about watching him over the wall by climbing up a ladder. One day his son, a five-year-old, decided to jump into a pool when no one but Lucy was watching and Lucy ends up saving his life but was put in jail by Adam for stalking him and invading his privacy. At first, she develops hate for him but then the hate melts slowly to become love, especially since she loves his son so much and takes care of him. She tried her best to conceal her heart from him but he was keen to win her heart and so he does.

Those were Romantic storied I have read throughout the 18 days of May and I hope to read more. I hope you find some of the stories interesting and give them a shot. Enjoy!
